vintage swaggg!
Hello there! ‘Tis Beverly, first time Catwalk blogger, here to teach you about raiding. Raiding CLOSETS that is! I don’t know if you guys know this, but your parent’s closet may or may not be a treasure trove of mildly acceptable, retro, vintage clothing! Actually, I don’t know if your parents had swag style back in their time, but I got to hand it to my parents, they could have done worse. At least they don’t wear running shoes all the time.
Well anyway (back on topic), I have been digging through my house for a while and the old things I’ve found are actually some of the best parts of my wardrobe.

Pretty swaggg eh? Plenty of cool clothes in my wardrobe, and there could be some in yours too! Start raiding! If not in your own house, then maybe at the thrift stores in Whittier or maybe even Goodwill. Some clothes never go out of style ^__^

Airport Fashion
By Kelly
Sweats. Baggy Tshirts. Pajamas. Uggs. These items are some of the most seen pieces at LAX. Last year, for my trip to Taiwan, I opted for the 'laidback airport look' consisting of oversized sweats paired with Uggs. Thinking I was cool at the time for conforming with the norm, I didnt notice how sloppy it really was. After reading more fashion blogs and style guides, I found that what we choose to wear to the airport can be relaxed yet fashionable. When I first saw the Glamourai's Kelly's clothing option, I was amazed. It was polished, sophistcated with the right amount of laidback chic. Her soft cardigan, bellbottoms, and cute top was right on spot. The crossbody bag added a flair and served to store all necessities that needed to be easily accessed. I created two outfits of how I imagine airport fashion to be- which includes jeggings, a knitted oversized sweater, with ankle boots or the same pair of jeggings with a soft embellished top, ruffly cardigan and flat boots. In both outfits, I included a scarf- a scarf that can also serve as a light blanket on the airplane is a must have for every flight. It is not only fashionable but very useful. Notice also the Kardashian sisters outfits at the airport, they are effortless yet timeless. While sweats and pjs may be comfortable, a little effort at the airport wouldn't hurt.

A "Birch" full of Suprises
This past month, I received my first Birchbox and was so giddy with joy when I opened the package. For those who haven't heard of Birchbox, it is a monthly $10 subscription where you receive high-end deluxe beauty samples in the mail. Each month you will be sent 4-5 samples from skincare to makeup to cult beauty tools. This is great because you get to try many different samples without committing to one product.
In my March Birchbox there was four samples and two extra little treats. When you first get your Birchbox, there is a logo on it. They wrap all your products in a cute way to present them in uniquely. In each Birchbox, there is also a card that tells you about each product and the full cost of the actual size of the product. They normally come similar to this:
XOXO, NATALIE :)
