Winter has been making its way through usual sunny California weather, and so the leggings and tights are coming out(or have been out for a while)! But when you've got leggings/tights going for you, it's that much easier to just throw on something comfy and (appropriate) over, and be ready to go!
Therefore lately, i've been looking for that ultimate chic/cute/trendy/casual/// pullover, that can do three things: cover my butt, cover my (what's down there!), and make me look somewhat formfitting..not too flabby and saggy!
So i came across this:
1. Yeess..it's a little see through, but nothing a cute tank under can't solve.
2. And yess, it runs a little thin for the weather, but a leather jacket/cute sweater over will easily warm you up!
**it's also a vneck, which gives it a little style, as opposed to some plain jane cover-up that's a couple sizes too big for you!

Have a good Christmas!

Sleigh Bells Ring...
It was Winter Wonderland Week at Wilson which meant that every day of this past week had a Holiday theme to it! Students all around got into the Holiday spirit and dressed up in red&green, put on Santa hats, and even wore their tackiest Christmas sweaters. Here at The Catwalk, our staffers prepared for Christmas by writing up wish lists and gift ideas for our readers. We hope these help you for any last minute gifts!
Happy Holidays & see you in the New Year! =)

Dear Santa,
Hello Natalie here!
I put together a wishlist of clothes and some beauty supplies that I want for Christmas. All of these clothes are great for layering in the cold Winter weather. I think these pieces are versatile in that you can make it look good for all the seasons.
A new year calls for a new look with new clothes, so hopefully I can get some of these items crossed off my list. ;)
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE. Stay safe and warm :)

Xmas Nails!
Hi Natalie here
I was going through one of my fashion role models, Lo Bosworth's blog, when I found her post about December nail colors. Rather than the usual red and green shades, her suggested colors for December are browns and neutrals. These colors are subtle yet dark and give a wintery vibe to any ouitfit! I would for sure use any of these color over my Christmas break! Lo's webiste not only gives advice about beauty, but also style and fitness work outs. I for one have gotten a lot of great ideas from her website :)
*These would make excellent Xmas gifts ;)
The first color is a Dark Chocolate (Essie's Lady Godiva)

The second one is a Berry color (Essie's Raisnnuts Today)
The Third one is a creamy, arym green with just a hint of mint (Chanel's Khaki Vert)
The last one is a Natural color (Essie's Au Natural)
Walking through a Winter Wonderland

Believe it or not, there is a lot more to do in the city of Brea during the month of December (besides battling for a parking space at the Brea Mall)! Each and every year, they hold a Christmas light competition in an awesome Brea neighborhood called Eagle Hills. It’s located one block north of Imperial Highway at Kraemer and Birch where many homes throughout the community are decked out in thousands of Christmas lights and lawn displays. I highly recommend touring this amazing winter wonderland to gather ideas on future decorations or even just to view the spectacular show :)
Oh, and since it's all crowded in the neighborhood, it's best to park your car and walk around to get an even closer look! So pack all your warm coats and hot chocolate for a night out on the town!
WOW! imagine each house decorated like this

DIY Xmas Sweaters
*Pics and words by Yilin Chen
For Winter Wonderland Week's Tacky Sweater Day, my friend Jocelyn and I made our own tacky sweaters. At first, we wanted to buy some Xmas sweaters at the Goodwill next to school. However, when we walked in they had no Xmas themed sweaters, vests, or shirts at all! Jocelyn and I then decided to buy some red&green sweaters and hitted up the Michaels in the same plaza to buy some decorations. We ended up cutting Christmas trees out of sparkly felt, sewing jingle bells and stockings, and sticking on foam snowflakes on our sweaters. It took a lot of time but we looked hilarious at school with our custom made tackiness =) here are some pics:
We didn't find any tacky sweaters, but we did find some pretty random stuff...
The end products =)

Winter Essentials
*Written by Kelly Lin
So, winter time. I really hate waking up at six o'clock in the morning to the icy cold weather. My mind is ALWAYS blank when it comes to what to wear, so I always end up going for the simplest pieces. As I have already done the Winter Wishlist, I wanted to do something much more concise. These are SIX pieces that I have been LOVING this crazy cold winter season. As you check the six essentials, examine the complementary accessories that are used as decorations! One thing that's coming back very soon is the WATCH! So, stock up on some& rock that classic look.

Description clockwise :
Red Peacoat- I have a black one right now, but I'm dying to get a red one! The peacoat is warm, cozy and has the magical ability to instantly make an outfit look put together!
Knit Men's Cardigan- I practically LIVE in this! Its so cozy and laid back! Mine is a wide striped one from American Eagle Men's section few years back.
Long socks- These are not only warm, but very efficient. I wear them all the time under boots because ankle socks are so slippery!
Moccassins- I got mine from AE last year, but they sell them at Marshall's, Rite-Aid, and every other store!
Burberry Inspired Scarf- I love scarves. period. I have ALOT of them, but one of my all time favs is the Burberry inspired one! It's so chic!
Lace-up boots- ANY PAIR OF BOOTS that'll last thru the winter season is what I mean. But these lace-up boots happen to be the ones I really want! I've been searching, but havent found the pair I'm absolutely in love with!
Pic 2. Fair-Isle is a print that is not only the pattern that I'm loving, but also cute for the Winter Season!

Pic 3. Knit sweater: for the lazy days; instantaneously chic!
