Vintage Inspired Treasures

I'm not a big fan of jewelry(as much as i'd like to be), but I am a big fan of pretty little vintage inspired goodies!

I came across this website: MARQUIS & CAMUS, and they've got the most beautifully made jewelry, i have ever laid eyes on. The details alone are extremely intricate, and they're mostly all handmade! They drive inspiration into six different categories: Victorian Romance, Red Carpet, Victorian Rebel, Modern Rebel, Lt. Camus, and Joker.

                                                              VICTORIAN REBEL:

RED CARPET:

                                                                          JOKER:
Lt. Camus:

MODERN REBEL:

VICTORIAN ROMANCE:

Here's a little blurb from their "About Us" section:

Established in the fall of 2006 in New York City, Marquis & Camus revisits the past creating a collection that offers a truly unique look into the future of remixed couture. The vintage pieces are timeless, characterized by their excellence, maturity and enduring appeal, accompanied by only the finest modern materials making them one of a kind.

The Marquis & Camus collection resurfaces antiquated treasures of the past and marries their exquisiteness with the charms of handmade fabric flowers; hand died silk bias ribbon, Swarovski crystals, bows, lace, and the boldness of chains and genuine leather. Each piece features authentic vintage items, such as bow ties, pocket watches, chandelier crystals, suspenders, cameos, lockets, watch movements, keys, charms, chains, buttons, pendants and pins, which are carefully handpicked from estate sales, auctions and flea markets. Sterling silver, brass, and silver-plated and gold-filled materials enhance the classic appeal of each piece. The Marquis & Camus products are sophisticated and complicated, and handled by skilled bench workers in New York.

The unfortunate part, is that they are extremely expensive, charging maybe a little too much for physical work. BUT!!! it's fairly easy to copy. It's simple. Go out and buy some regular jewelry(forever 21 etc.) and go to Michael's to buy some different types of fabric(lace, satin etc.) and if you can sew, learn how to sew flowers! You can also buy some little pearls or additional accessories to combine them all into one masterpiece!

have a goood one, xtine :)
